A Bit About Our Food
Our ethos is to prepare, cook and serve good food simply, allowing the excellent quality and freshness of our locally sourced produce to speak for itself: real food, real flavours. All of our food is home-made, right down to the tartare sauce served with your fish and chips. We are committed to using the best produce and changing the menu regularly.
We believe in sourcing our ingredients as locally as possible.
At the Hambro we try to work with our local suppliers including:
Jurrassic Coast Meats, Mato’s of Blandford, Dorset Game Larder, Leopard Dairy, Portland Shellfish, The Fine Food Co Ltd and Country Fare
We have a bar area that is perfect for a lunchtime snack or an informal evening meal in front of the fire, or you can choose our elegant Library Restaurant which will seat up to 40 people. If the weather is good, we have ample seating outside so our customers can enjoy the village atmosphere and views. Please note that we do allow (well behaved!) dogs in our bar area but not the restaurant.
On Sunday Lunchtime we always have a choice of Sunday Roasts.
We are delighted to hold functions and can provide anything from a finger buffet, a special dinner to a full wedding breakfast in our
elegant restaurant.
Our Menu
The emphasis is upon homemade with quality ingredients sourced locally whenever possible. As well as rossete standard food we also offer pub classics. The menu changes frequently so we can offer the best seasonal produce and our customers can come regularly and enjoy different dishes.
At lunchtimes, in addition to our normal menu, we offer a range of baguettes, as well as our ploughmans and our club sandwich.
On Sundays we offer a chice of roasts and a childrens menu is always available.
